Studying the macro- and microelement composition of the soils of the saline agrolandscape of the southern part of the Prichanovskaya depression, it was established that meadow-chernozem poorly saline sandy soil was formed in the eluvial position, and low-saline solonchikovy clayey soil in the bottom. Of macronutrients in them is dominated by silicon. Calcium is more than magnesium, especially in the soil horizons of the lower position. The content of trace elements in the soil of the lower position is 2-3 times higher than at the top due to their movement with surface and groundwater. The content of arsenic, barium, boron and strontium is several times higher than the MPC, which creates a difficult situation in the area, which must be considered in the production of agricultural products.

Lupine Publishers-Review on Environmental Journals



Reported Impact Assessment of an intervention ‘Land Shaping Technology’ implemented at farmer’s field under NAIP project at different villages of south 24-Pargans district of West Bengal aiming for rainwater harvesting for irrigating crops. Farm data was collected from the randomly selected farmers of both Interevent and control groups. Partial budgeting analysis was done to assess the comparative performances with respect to sources of income and livelihoods, diversification of input cost, labour cost, employment generation, production etc. The impact of Land Shaping technology can be assessed from the fact that the landscape and cropping pattern has been changed from single crop to multi crop round the year resulting in enhanced productivity, employment generation, income and related activities arresting migration of people to cities in search of jobs for livelihood in intervened farmer’s plots compared to those in control plots.

More than 150,000 Gallerias, Qanat Karez sweet water systems, including more than 200,000 kilo meters of tunnels still exist in the Middle East, Central Asia and Mediterranean basins. Since the Islamic agricultural revolution which took control of these water sources, they are operated inefficiently losing uncontrolled quantities of water. The original ancient design was to direct water to arid zone of sabkha basins in order to leach salt deposits by leaching, (you have used leaching twice) recrystallizing and precipitating the salts as pure thick strata S of salt crust. The tunnels are used today only for domestic and local agricultural water supply. The engineering and construction of these systems involved extremely heavy investment, in difficult desert conditions. The human cost of building the tunnels and boreholes could only have been justified by the value of the salt production resulting from the irrigation and flooding mechanisms. This forgotten technology is no longer in use and the misunderstanding has caused misuse and inefficiency Many communities still rely on the ancient Qanat.

The Researchers proved that the process of soil erosion is also closely linked to climatic conditions of the region. Therefore, depending on the climatic conditions of the erosive processes are different in both forms of its manifestation, and the quantitative indicators of development. For example, in the north-eastern part of the Greater Caucasus Highlands powerful deposition of snow cover, high intensity of spring melting of snow and summer rain water rainfalls the calling intensive lavages and size of its development areas. But here, against a backdrop of high air temperatures during the growing season, pronounced wind regime and extremely low relative humidity of the air is wind erosion. Climate also affects the surface configuration. Humid areas where vegetation cover protects the soil from severe manifestations of water and wind erosion, characterized by soft, rounded slopes.

Evaluation of Host Associated Genetic Markers for Rapid PCR Based Identification of Fecal Contamination Sources in Water: (OAJESS)-Lupine Publishers


The water quality of many waterways in the state of Alabama, and in the nation as a whole, is deteriorating due to point and nonpoint source pollution from human and animal waste. Accurate identification of contamination sources is essential if we are to develop cost-effective pollution control strategies. The direct detection of host specific genetic markers by Polymerase Chain Reactions (PCR) has been widely used in identifying sources of fecal contamination in environmental waters. In this study, we conducted experiments to validate genetic markers associated with deer/elk, Canada goose, dog, and cattle for Microbial Source Tracking (MST) in Alabama. End point PCR was performed on 10 raw sewage samples and 133 fecal samples from nine animal species. Our results showed that CowM3, GFD (goose), and deer/elk associated markers have acceptable specificity and sensitivity, making them suitable for MST studies. However, the dog marker and one of the cattle markers (CowM2) exhibited cross reactions with other fecal samples. The performance of these host associated markers in environmental water was evaluated using both end point and quantitative PCR (qPCR). Human, goose, and dog markers were detected in several water samples by end point PCR; the human marker and CowM2 marker were also detected by qPCR. Samples collected after a significant rainfall event showed the highest frequency of genetic marker detection. Both human and Canada geese contributed to fecal pollution in samples from Parkerson Mill Creek.

The article examines the issues of studying the degree of susceptibility of sloping lands in Azerbaijan in the example of specific administrative territorial units, flat areas with a slope of up to 6% (about 3.50) are concentrated in Akhsu district 71%, and in Shemakha almost 49%. The steepest slopes are observed in the Ismaili region, where almost 26% of the territory has a slope of 10-18%, 30% of its area slope is 18%
